The High Blood Pressure Solution: Natural Prevention and Cure With the K Factor
Published in Paperback by Inner Traditions Intl Ltd (April, 1993)
Average review score:

It WorksI was given this book by my wife after struggling (unsuccessfully) with a sudden and dangerous rise in my bp. I went from a lifetime of normal readings to stage 4 hypertension (190/160) at age 39. Over the course of the next nine months, I was on a variety of anti-hypertensives -- three different bp meds simultaneously -- at high doses with only limited success and terrible side effects. I read this book and a month or so later, decided to give Dr. Moore's theory a try. I followed the K factor diet for three months and also quit drinking caffeine. My bp's plunged within weeks and after a few months, I was off all but one med and that was reduced to a very low dose. My doctors -- including a nephrologist -- were stunned by the results. I can't recommend it enough.
A great book for people suffering hypertensionI was rushed to a hospital with a blood pressure of 175/110 at the age of 37 yrs. I was given a calcium channel blocker pill which reduced my BP to 140/90. Unfortunately it produces a side effect which I cannot stand. I was then given ace inhibitor (Hyzaar) which brought my BP to 120/70 but unfortunately produces a dizziness which was so intolerable I could hardly drive my car. Lastly the medication was changed to cozaar another ace inhibitor which produces a side effects of dizziness which was more tolerable.Anyway I tried to find a natural solution for my hypertension and found out that this book gives all the answer which was needed to reverse it. After four weeks of high K factor diet ( serum poassium at 4.9 ) I was able to half my BP pills at a BP of 110/75 and sometimes to 105/65. My aim now is to stopped my BP pills intake when it is safe to do so.
Avoid the pills- do it naturallyThis book details ways for a person with hypertension to lower their blood pressure using natural methods. Dr. Moore is an M.D. and PhD who has done years of research in this area. He concludes that a low level of potassium (K) is a major casue of hypertension. He gives dietary instructions on how to raise your potassium, and lower your sodium. The book is well documented and is very readable. It is an encouraging book for those who have hypertension, but want to try a treatment more natural than using prescription medications. I recommend it to my patients. Russell Tweet M.D.

If Only Growing Cleverer Kept Going Foreverer and 99 Other Rhymes
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (September, 2001)
Average review score:

Julian is Cleverer than most.Julian has a unique way to express thoughts/ideas on everyday living. Reading this book of rhymes and poetry was most enjoyable. The book has a way of preventing one to think too seriously about themselves!!! It was humorous, but so true to life! A must read.
Great read, very impressedThis is a very good book that I enjoyed greatly. It is funny at the appropriate times and serious at the appropriate times. Julian used very good taste and decision in the content and it is amazing and delightful that so much knowledge can be contained and presented in so few words. Good job!
Timely PoetryUnlike much poetry, the subject matter of the rhymes in this book
was neither obscure nor hopelessly dated. Instead, the poems are concerned with modern-day subjects and concerns.
They are refreshingly direct, witty and timely, covering a
wide range of subjects from serious to whimsical. It's fairly
remarkable how much meaning can be gleaned from so few words.
All in all, a very enjoyable read.

Published in Audio Cassette by Brilliance Audio (November, 2002)
Average review score:

The Savior Longs to be Close to YouHave you ever looked at Jesus Christ in a way much deeper than in the scriptures? A fire that lights up your soul. Such a romance with the Lord as if you have truly known him and walked with him. You have an open invitation to be part of it. 'Jesus One and Only' is that intimate look at the life of Christ. Beth Moore interweaves her own experiences with the Gospel of Luke to give you more brand new insights of the One who is the greatest best friend that you'll ever have. You can hear God speak to you in Beth's words, his caring, loving words to get you to fall in love with Jesus of Nazareth. Walk with him on the dusty roads of Israel, listen to him on a hillside teaching, encounter Him at the dinner table with sinners, or walks on the raging waves and calms the storm . Like the ragamuffin band of followers some 2,000 years ago, you will not be the same. As you read you will you come to know just how much He longs to be close to you. Moore is a wonderful and God-gifted writer. And she makes the gentle, loving Savior so irresistable who couldn't be changed after reading this. It's a much to read all her books. I recommend 'Things Pondered' and 'To Live is Christ.' She's truly one blessed writer, public speaker and teacher. Like to know more about her work? Visit-BethMoore.org.
A Rare & Gifted Author....Beth Moore speaks directly to the heart and soul with this illuminating, stunning book about Jesus Christ. Could not put it down! A must-read for anyone searching to know more about this wonderful, visionary leader. Jesus Christ gave us more than just the Gospels, He gave us Himself! Beautifully-written, well-researched, and irresistable.
Bringing Me to the Feet of JesusThis touching, unique book written by Beth Moore has cut deeply into my heart. Through this perfectly layed out book, Moore brings the reader through a realistic adventure about the life of Jesus Christ. She reveals many truths about Jesus' life that we overlook when reading the Bible's facts about His life. Moore's insightful words are refreshing, freeing, and eye-opening. This book touched my heart softly and intimately, bringing me closer to the loving and graceful heart of my Savior Jesus Christ. The realistic views and the heartfelt moments that the reader enters with this book are life changing and freeing. Anyone who has ever wanted a closer look at the life of Jesus and a deeper touch of His unconditional love should readh this book. I absolutely love and adore this book.

Informative and interesting book, easy read. This is a great book for the average person to read, or for a student or teacher of microbiology to read. I teach microbiology, and hope to use this book in my courses if I can get enough copies of it for my students at my college.
The best book of its kindaI have never read a book on infectious disease that has been so well researched and well written. You do not need a degree in microbiology to understand this book. The information is so gripping I read the book in a day, I just could not put it down. I am a college student in microbiology and was amazed at how much information was provided regarding the history of infectious disease and the scientists that have help in the war against them - only to find out that the same microorganisms are rearing their ugly heads - again????? Strep throat has never been a problem in my lifetime but it looks like it will be in the near future. If you ejoyed the Coming Plague this is the book for you
An Award-winning bookThis book has just been Commended in the BUPA/Medical Journalists' Associationn Awards 2001 for "excellence in communicating medical and health information in a book for the lay reader".

Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit
Published in Paperback by Henry Blackaby Ministries, Inc. (December, 1998)
Average review score:

A life-changing study of the Bible!I joined a church group who used this book as a workbook and found the insights amazingly beautiful and very practical. Beth Moore writes from experience and from her heart. A heart that loves the Lord and desires others to know him as intimately.
Meet the Holy Spirit for the first timeIf you were raised in a Christian tradition that did not place emphasis on the Holy Spirit this study will open your eyes as it did mine. The Holy Spirit is what Christ left us and as Christians many of us are ignoring it. This study will show you in the scriptures the jobs and roles of the Holy Spirit and how important it is to ask for and have the Holy Spirit in our lives. It will blow your life wide open and give you an energy and passion in your walk with God.
Ready to Start LIVING the Spirit? This study showed me spiritual depths and possibilities unknown to me before. I found this Bible study incredibly engrossing, revealing and uplifting; it takes you on an odyssey to reveal, learn and internalize (i.e. live) what the Holy Spirit is really all about. In concrete terms, what is It, when do you get It, and what does it mean to "live in the Spirit"? Exactly how is the Holy Spirit changing the lives of believers? Beth Moore digs deep into the original languages of the Old and New Testaments to show us what the writings of the Bible truly say regarding the fruit of the Spirit as described by Paul and others in the context of Galations 5:22-23 and related Biblical text. Love, patience, kindness, gentleness...our everyday definitions of these words barely scratch the surface of what God is truly saying. Worth the effort.

Living Every Minute

Living Every MinuteI wrote a review for this book and submitted it on the 19th or so, and you have not posted it. Why is that?
Living Every MinuteHave you ever had a teacher who made a great contribution to your life? As you became older and wiser, did you realize more and more how much of a positive impact that person made to your life? If this is the case, this book is for you. For many of us, there is someone from our past that gave to us a "gift we know we never can repay". Did you, like most of us, take that person for granted at the time? What was that person really like in their life beyond being a teacher? In the book Living Every Minute, author Nancy Delano Moore gives a warm account of just such a person. You will, in all probability, find many parallels to that special someone from your own past who gave so much to you. For people who were fortunate enough to have such a person in their life during the developing years, this book is a must.
Living Every MinuteWhen a beloved family member has increasing dementia over a long period of time it is hard to understand what is happening emotionally as well as intellectually. To understand is a real blessing to loved ones. Nancy Delano Moore has shared in a compelling way in LIVING EVERY MINUTE her struggle to cope with her mother's lengthy decline. Having seen a great number of families in similar situations while working with Area Agencies on Aging for a period of twenty years, I am convinced that Nancy Moore's telling of her story will be a valuable gift for both older adults and for their families.

Master Teacher: ReikiOne Third Degree Manual Part B
Published in Spiral-bound by ReikiOne Press (30 December, 2002)
Average review score:

reiki 1 manual bThe best Reiki teaching manual I have found. Also the most pleasant 'to look at' book I have found, the graphics encourage the reader to progress through the book. The information is comprehensive and manageable. It covers all the basics and embodies the spiritual element of Reiki perfectly.
Once you use this one, no other will do.
Buy all the manuals in the series not only to be of excellent support for your teachings, but to impress your students with the professional presentation, so desperately missing in most Reiki Masters manuals.

Message of the Cameos
Published in Hardcover by Providence House Pub (01 July, 2001)
Average review score:

Inspiring BookBeautifully written book which you will read quickly and be inspired after finishing.
Message of the CameosThis little gem of a book reached me in many ways. I saw my own life experiences in the author's account of hers. I found myself interpreting my experiences in different and more positive ways than I had been able to do in the past. As I read, I freqently highlighted sentences and paragraphs that seemed particularly meaningful to me. The small vignettes lend themselves to daily devotional reading, if you can force yourself to put the book down and save it for another day!
God and Regular FolksGood book about how the Holy Spirit has influenced and participated in one woman's life-long journey with God. An appealing testimony for women wondering about or longing for a deeper relationship with God, and what that looks like in an ordinary person's life. Powerful.

Definitive Troop Position Maps for Bentonville!Based upon years of study, the detailed tactical maps in Moore's Bentonville book provide step-by-step orientation for all three days of this fascinating Civil War engagement.
Detailed battle descriptions enhance the maps, and many of the battle's participants tell their own stories, with easy reference to unit locations on the battlefield.
For tourists and scholars alike, this user-friendly study offers more than your average battlefield guidebook.
Excellent Historical Guide to Bentonville"Moore's Historical Guide to the Battle of Bentonville" is undoubtedly the finest battlefield resource ever seen by this reviewer. The maps are models of clarity and comprehensiveness. Significant facts and analyses are presented in a very readable "bullet" format, enlivened by vivid quotations by participants. Sketches and photos, both from the Civil War era as well as modern times, further assist the reader in gaining orientation to the battlefield. Perhaps most importantly, Moore's masterful work places Bentonville in the complete context of Sherman's Carolinas Campaign and the entire Carolina-Virginia Theater. This work in unquestionably indispensable to both the serious Civil War scholar and the tourist.
